Hi, I am a mother of two girls. Their father (we will call him CT) went to prison in 2005, he was a paramedic/firefighter, he molested my friends son. The little boy involved in this was only 3 at the time. You see our life was perfect, the perfect family, perfect house, perfect life. Me and my girls lost everything in the blink of an eye. I was a stay at home mom at the time. So CT went to work one day, and I recieved a phone call from my friend telling me what CT did to her son. I immediately called the police and reported it. CT admitted to what he did and turned himeself in the next day. We have not seen him since. It has been two years. He is currently serving a ten year sentence. So I am a single mom, working two jobs trying to give my children the best I know how. But what I was wondering is, does the government or any agency for that matter help women who's childrens fathers are in prison. I make to much money to recieve foodstamps or cash assistance, but not quite enough to cover my bills. Go figure! I dont want a handout, im just wondering if maybe there is an agency who will pay his childsupport until he gets out. Someone said possibly Social Security but i didnt know. Please if anyone has any information about this let me know. Thank You!
